After high school I attended The Univ. of Toledo College of pharmacy.
It is a 5-year program and I graduated on time in June 1969. In Sept
1968 I married Christine Filipovic who I met and started dating when
we were seniors and she was a 10th grader. I was smitten the first
time I ever saw her. We had our first of 3 children ( Jessica) in 1975.
She is a manager of a big Barnes and Noble bookstore here in Naples,
Fl where we moved in 1984. Melissa my second daughter was born in 1979
and she lives in Tallahassee, Fl and works for the state legislature.
My son Jamison was born in 1982 and currently is finishing up his studies
at the Univ. of Florida. I worked as a pharmacist at the Cleveland
Clinic Hospital, Grace Hospital and Hillcrest Hospital before moving
here to Naples where I have worked retail pharmacy for the last 21
years. It would be very hard to try and explain but in 2002 Christine
who had grown in different ways over the years decided she needed to
strike out on her own and moved alone to Phoenix, Arizona where she
has been ever since. After trying to change her mind for almost 3 years
we divorced. It became official in December 2004. The best thing I
can say about all of that is that we don't fight and both agree we
still love each other (told you it was hard to explain). For those
of you who saw me at the 2004 reunion, you would have noticed that
she came back from Arizona and attended the reunion with me. We both
had a great time. This was 2 months before the divorce became official
and other than a couple of people who knew it was in progress, you
would never have known. I am now trying to go on as a soon to be 59
year old single man. It has been both interesting and difficult. I
had a great time at the reunion. I had not been back since the 15th
reunion. It was great to see Bedford again and all the changes. I saw
so many people I had not seen in years and years and it was wonderful.
I just wish I had more time to catch up. God willing I will never miss
another. |
