After
graduating from BHS, I attended Bowling Green State University
where I majored in Business Education. I graduated from BGSU in
1968 and
began teaching at Bedford High during the following September.
I taught at BHS for two years when I met my husband (current ex)
and
moved to Syracuse, NY and taught for one year before we moved to
California in 1972. After moving to CA, I went back to college
and received my MA from San Jose State University. In 1973 I began
teaching
business subjects in Santa Cruz, CA where I am still a business
teacher. I have moved from teaching shorthand, typing, and accounting
to teaching
computer applications. Some years ago I was divorced and haven’t
remarried. This is my 37th year teaching and I plan on a few more
years before I retire. I absolutely love CA! I have never remarried,
had several long-term relationships, and have not given up on finding
my soul mate to enjoy the remainder of my life.
A
passion of mine is traveling. My mother (who moved to CA after
my father died in 1973) and I take a major trip together every
year and we have been to some
very
exciting
places--Russia, Europe, Galapagos Islands, Amazon--to name a few.
My mom is now 87 years young and is still active mentally and physically.
